The Bathurst Correctional Centre upgrade project complements the existing 660-bed medium- and minimum-security sections for male inmates, by providing a new 220-bed maximum-security facility on the southern part of the site. Additional construction included a new gatehouse, reception and visits areas, an administration building, and a car park for staff and visitors.
