Museum of Contemporary Art

This Sydney landmark redevelopment is Climatech’s first project with Watpac Construction. The iconic Sydney site presented a number of challenges from a mechanical perspective. The large seawater heat exchange system was installed under the existing circular quay promenade with minimal disruption to foot traffic. Humidity and temperature control to the gallery areas was a paramount concern to the Museums Board of Trustees. Climatech installed state of the Stulz humidifiers and reverse osmosis systems to ensure optimal air quality conditions in the galleries.

As a heritage building constructed at the turn of the century, there was little space provision for services. The Climatech team led services co-ordination to achieve a functional yet aesthetically pleasing finish.
